PRIVACY POLICY
aka what we do (and don’t do) with your data.
KNOW YOUR BASICS
Flash Sports Co. (we don’t do all-caps legal names here) is the data controller responsible for handling your personal data in compliance with EU Regulation No. 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (a.k.a. GDPR). That’s the boring part.
We take your privacy seriously. Not like “corporate seriously”, but seriously-seriously. This Privacy Policy tells you how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal data when you visit our sites [wearflash.cc] / [wearflash.shop] (the “Site”).
Let’s keep it clear and clean from now on.
WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
When you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of data:
Account Info: first name, last name, email, password. Basic stuff to get you started.
Order Info: address, postcode, city, country, phone number. So we know where to ship your drip.
Payment Data: processed securely by our third-party providers. We don’t touch or store your card digits. Promise.
Navigation Data: IP address, browser type, language, connection time, cookies, etc.
Social Logins: If you connect via social media, we might receive some data from that platform (based on their settings, not ours).
You’ll always be told whether providing data is mandatory or just nice to have.
WHY WE COLLECT IT
“Don’t forget your why.” That’s cute. We’re not doing an Ironman. Just trying to sell gear that makes you feel fast. Here’s what we do (and don’t do) with your data:
Purpose | Legal Basis |
---|---|
Create and manage your account | Contract |
Process orders, billing, shipping, support | Contract |
Send newsletters, offers, and updates | Consent |
Improve the site and user experience | Legitimate interest |
Run technical ops, testing, troubleshooting | Legitimate interest |
We might also use your data to comply with legal obligations, or if some fraudster tries to mess with us. Rare, but not impossible. You can withdraw your consent anytime, especially if our emails start to annoy you. No hard feelings. Snif.
WHO SEES YOUR DATA
Authorities (when required by law):
Yes, if we absolutely have to: court orders, tax investigations, or digital wrongdoing. We’re not rebels (on that front).
Third-party partners:
Developers, hosting providers, payment gateways, analytics nerds. We only share what’s strictly necessary. They follow our rules and the law.
No one sells your data here. Not our style.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
As long as you have an account
Up to 3 years after closure (for legal traceability)
13 months for cookies and tracking tools
Longer only if law requires it or we need it to fight crime (or bad returns)
When it’s no longer needed, we delete or archive securely. No digital hoarding.
DO WE TRANSFER YOUR DATA OUTSIDE THE EU?
Most of our servers are cozy in Europe.
If we ever have to transfer your data outside the EU (e.g., for tech services), it will be done with proper legal safeguards, like:
Countries approved by the EU
Standard contractual clauses
Other GDPR-compliant guarantees
TL;DR: If your data travels, it travels with a seatbelt.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA?
We take tech and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or data leaks.
Also, regarding your password? Keep it safe. Don’t use “IamBetterThanPogacar”, we will silently judge you.
YOUR RIGHTS
You have full control. Here’s what you can do, legally speaking:
Access & Info: Know what we collect and why.
Rectify: Fix any incorrect data.
Erase: Ask us to delete your data (if legally possible).
Limit: Restrict how we use it.
Portability: Take your data and run (or reuse it elsewhere).
Object: Say no to certain uses (e.g., marketing).
Withdraw consent at any time.
File a complaint with CNIL if we mess things up.
Post-mortem directives (yes, that’s a real thing — you can decide what happens to your data after you’re gone).
To exercise any of these rights: contact@wearflash.cc. We might ask you to prove you’re actually you.
UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
This policy might change from time to time for legal reasons or just because we’re evolving. If it’s major, we’ll let you know. If it’s minor, check this page once in a while (you won’t, but we had to say it).
